Well i got the switch from http://www.oznium.com/gsw-45 its a OEM style so u cant tell and got the wiring to run of the cigarette lighter so i should be good...just wanted to know if anyone else has done anything similar??...its only because i hate having the button and the stupid thing runs on a battery that needs to be replaced every so often...yesterday it needed to be replaced and so i had to run out in the rain...and get drenched anywho.

there needs to be like some kinda of receiver to send the signal unless..... you take your remote apart give it power from the car battery and wire the switch to the button on the remote. thats how i would do it |

it doesnt really sound practical, i install garage doors for a living and i have never heard such a thing, its possible but i sure as hell wouldnt go through all that |

yeah, if you really want that, get an autodimming mirror with homelink if you want to hardwire the garge door opener into your car.
but to make the oznium switch do it, yeah, you would need to hook up something to signal and receive signals from your garage, especially because alot of the newer ones use rolling codes and such. |
