hey everybody. i just graduated pre-ranger. im home until fri then i leave for ft. benning for ranger shcool until late january. when i return, i will be back in the groove and ready to hang. see ya guys later.

Hey!! We're good, just really busy. Saturday was landscaping day and within the first hour I screwed up my back, but we got it done and it looks really good I would go, but I have assignments that are two weeks late, so I have to get those turned in. Hope you have (or had if you get this when you get back) fun!

"Club Participation"

It was excellent that we got our first Club Participation Award. We need to get about 5 or 6 more so that we can attract some Corporate Sponsorships. When a Company notices that their is a powerhouse out there ruling the show scenes in their local markets they consider club sponsorships. We need a few more wins to be able to ask for these type of sponsorships.

I just wanted to say thank you for everyone participating. There is one thing that stood out the most from this show that has not happened at other shows. During the awards Ceremony the announcer RECOGNIZED our club not only for being the largest club out there, he said we were the most organized and prepared. I spoke him afterwards and he said that all the judges were very IMPRESSED that we all turned our sheets over and listed all of our modifications to make it easier to judge.

You must remember that there ar no other Scion clubs in the Mid-Atlantic Area other than our good friends at Shocker, so the show scene is not use to seeing SCIONS. So they do not know how to judge them against other cars. The judges said that our cars looked PROFESSIONAL and not just crap thrown on them. Lets keep up the tradition we started and make our vehicles attractive to sponsors. Our club's PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER'S Photos definently will help you market your vehicle. I would be transforming your www.itsmyscion page to look attractive to sponsors, I know I am going to work on mine this week. If you have sponsors link them to your sites, put it in your signatures, etc; Put some sponsor art ork up, etc. try to get promotional materials from sponsors to give away at shows.

Let's remember that we all have talents in the club and we need to share them, but remember people's time is not free just because they are there. Let's show some love to each other. not telling you what to do but these are the things that help a club stay tight!!! OK I am off my soapbox now.

To any sponsor viewing this Blog give these great members at SCION / Toyota CUSTOMS a chance to represent you, they are truely GREAT PEOPLE!!!!

Aww, I'm sorry about the truck! Goldie is theoretically fixed, but their remedy was BS. They said it was the tachometer--the tachometer doesn't tell the engine to do anything, it just displays the information it gets from the engine. So I'm just going to wait until she does it again and then I'll take her back. I suppose if they get sick of me enough they'll either fix it or find someone who can.

We're actually living out of the house, but we're not finished unpacking, and we still have stuff in the apartment. It'll all get done by next week though...

So, I have to drop Goldie off at the dealership Friday morning and they're keeping her for a good portion of the day because she's not working properly!! Apparently she's idling at 480 when she's supposed to be idling between 600-700, so she's sputtering and stalling. Yay me!

It'll be a blast! I'm trying to see if Jason and I will be able to have a housewarming thing after the show since it ends kinda early. I think it's going to depend on how crazy we go in Florida. I'll post something up about it if we do it.
